It probably is, but then that would relegate Ed to the position of "Manager"
with a staff of 200 including programmers, analysts, expediters,
secretaries, accounts-receivable bookkeepers and various "flacks." I know a
*wonderful* joke about that sort of transition that I'd share with anyone
that wants to hear it, Off List.

Otherwise, I think that "letting Ed be Ed" and "letting Vuescan be Vuescan"
is the safest route to "The Best of All Possible Worlds."
