This accords with my procedure, which follows Dan Margulis's method:

Find the highlight, shadow and midtone gray - the numbers should show
neutral or should be corrected to result in a neutral black/gray/white - M=Y
and C a shade higher.  All other colors should essentially fall into place
absent unusual circumstances, even without a gray card.

|     Many will tell you, nailing a neutral shade will be the best place
| to start ... as if all you needed was the gray and white cards.
