filmscanners: Dark scans

Hi
     I am not getting satisfactory results while scanning Kodak ELITE (Extra
Colour) 100 slides using Vuescan.
I am using Minolta Dual II.

All the photos were taken outdoor in the cloudy day. I observed following
things 
a) The scans look very dark compared to the slide.
b) The mud looks very very yellow.

I selected "E6" /"Low Saturation" in  Vuescan.

Any tips for SLIDE scanning will be of great help.

This is the first time I am scanning SLIDE:-)
