I use McAfee on my home machine. It's the same deal, $40 a year and daily updates. I
haven't noticed any impact on my system's performance and it's saved my bacon a number
of times.

Norton is (was) very HEAVY on my system. It would constantly crash and burn
regularly and slow down my system to the point it was unusable. I believe I
tried it when they came out with 6.0 (?) version 1 1/2 years ago I think.
Maybe they got the kinks worked out of it but it left such a bad taste in my
mouth I swore I would never try it again. Should I?
