I'm only guessing, but I think with an accurate conversion and the same basic process applied individual film qualities could be preserved, more or less. Depends how itchy your Photoshop trigger finger gets too:) I find that once I'm in Photoshop I'm just going for the best overall correction I can muster, and that is determined by style or sensibility or what ever you want to call it. In Photoshop you can make Astia look like Velvia if you want to.
