I am about to graduate from college and my parents want to buy me a film scanner as a gift. I have about $800 (US) max to spend and am looking for something that can handle cropping and enlarging (so higher DPI), good detail in slides and negs, and good black and white. Can anyone make a recommendation? I was thinking either the Canon FS4000 or the new Polaroid although Ice/FARE would be preferred. Any advice is appreciated!
