Thanks Tom . . . . I have cleaned the scanner using the supplied brush. This seemed to have eliminated some banding issues that started to show up in the scans. I am not sure the "indexing" time is a problem it just seems to take . . . well, time. If I use Polaroid Insight there does not seem to be any hunting for the frame. The time to the start of the scan is quicker with insight. John

I suggest that you clean the scanner with the cleaning brush according to the directions and see if that clears up your problem. It may simply be dust obscuring the sensor that determines the position of the carrier. I really don't know how the scanner "indexes" itself but it seems to jog around a bit before it starts the scan process (for preview also). This jogging process seems to take about a minute or so for each preview or scan. Does this sound normal to you folks that have been using these products?
