I don't have much time by the moment, but I'll think about your workflow I'm also a Minolta (Multi pro) / Vuescan / color negs user At first glance your PS8 plugin/workflow combo must be a real improvement, first for all Fuji films, for which Vuescan doesn't have really good and up-to-date profiles.
