Great to know the never-ending-digest problem's been fixed, as, I see, has been the bloat into the archive, which is a great feature of the new list software.
But the monthly archive download settings have also got changed today in this process. A few hours ago I could have downloaded any month's-worth of the list as gzipped files, but now this is plain text -- and they are about 4 times the size of the gzip version. Is there a possibility of a choice? Or might users prefer gzip and much shorter download times? Gzip is, after all, available for many different platforms, so it doesn't limit the users to those on Linux/Unix. It's just that for those not on extremely fast links, to spend extra time in downloading text via http (at least you get compression with ASCII transfer under ftp - but that choice isn't offered) it would be nice to have the faster option. What's the opinion? Andrew Parker. _______________________________________________ Finale mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.shsu.edu/mailman/listinfo/finale
