What fonts are you using? What I discovered awhile back is that if I used a
different font than my default music font for the "Inside Slurs" artic, I got
behavior such as you describe (irrespective of the availabilty or accuracy of
FAN files). But it wasn't limited to EPS graphics. I saw it onscreen too.

I solved the problem by replacing the offending articulation with a shape-based
articulation. You might try that. However, if you have manually edited any of
the slurs to compensate for the buggy behavior, you will have to remove the
manual edits.
