[Finale] possibility of changing transpositions within a piece

Sorry about the blank message...got carried away with the enter key...

I'm beginning to discover why I had always kept my movements in separate files before; no lengthy optimization process, a clean instrument list, etc.  Now I have run into a new problem:  is it possible to change the transposition of a staff midstream; say, I want to change from Bb clarinets to A clarinets.  Yes, I realize I can attack the key signature, but playback will sound just awful (that is to say, unintended dissonance) and I rely on the playback to keep my transposing skills honest.  There are so many other things that one can check or not check in the staff attributes box that mainly affect playback and have nothing to do with the appearance on the page, yet, as far as I have found, there is nothing in the manual about changing your instrument midstream.  I am currently stuck with 2000, so if it happens to be addressed in a later version, please let me know.
