Remember that the original mailman list setup was as it is now, but that it was then changed to default to the list, and that was when we ended up with the endless loops with megabytes of digests. That was because the list was not configured with an ERRORS TO address. If that was fixed, then adding back the list as default REPLY-TO would never be in danger of the looping. Since I have administered mailman mailing lists, I suggested this to the list owner way back when, but he either does not have the option in the version of mailman available to him, or thought better of it. > . . . I don't know that there's any grounds whatsoever for this "understanding." Mailman is nice because it can be *administered* via the web, but there's nothing whatsoever about its functions and output that is biased towards people who read email with browser-based clients. -- David W.
