No shame in that.  Verbosity is not always a virtue.  (I should know....)

If your succinct and viable feature request carries any weight with Coda,
then I'm happy for you to focus all of your attentions on a
type-in-score/auto-placement scheme for expressions.  For me, that's at the
top of the list, and the other speculations are all secondary.

I confess, I don't 100% follow what's going on with all your angle-bracket
codes, but after our discussions here I'm confident that you have a good
understanding of what I want and what other users want, so I'm sure that
whatever your route to get there, the end result will be a smart and useful
system.

The main thing is that Coda be persuaded to actually do it.
