Interesting. I got the distinct impression that the problem was far easier to create on my system (Power Mac 6100/66 with Mac OS 8.0) than it is on most others. For me it requires very few steps, and can be done from any of Coda's templates straight off the CD. I tested it again just now on their template called "Piano Grand Staff". Here it is: --> In Speedy mode, enter any note in any measure but the first, then type the left arrow twice. The bug has now been invoked. If I now enter a note it will be displaced. Does this reproduce the bug for everyone, or just for me? If it does for everyone, then I'd say this is a pretty significant flaw, not just some obscure rare occurrence. There's lots of ways for the bug to come up. The key ingredient is starting from the first slot of a measure and using a keystroke to move to a new measure from there. That will almost always do it. I can understand your "which order you enter things" since the order of your Speedy entry will dictate how often you'll be leaving a measure from the first slot. I don't understand "what's in the file". In my experience, the pattern is identical in any file, and I've tested it on several of Coda's templates. mdl _______________________________________________ Finale mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.shsu.edu/mailman/listinfo/finale
