(Apologies if this is coming through non-ASCII; I can't tell from here, on the road in A'dam using webmail access.)
My original comment, which has spawned several responses, was intended to mean composers of the European tradition, not just those physically living in Europe. That would include the Americas and other places where they went with their concepts and tools. Dennis Original Message: ----------------- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Mark D. No one was claiming that these composers were outside the European tradition. In fact, my recollection is that Andrew originally cited them specifically as non-Europeans who contributed to that tradition, not as a separate school. -------------------------------------------------------------------- mail2web - Check your email from the web at http://mail2web.com/ . _______________________________________________ Finale mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.shsu.edu/mailman/listinfo/finale
