Hi all,

Do you know the english (or italian) traduction for Horn meaning :
1. cuivrez
2. bouchez
3. naturel

Thanks very much.

Pierre.

Far be it from be to correct YOUR French, but I think it is

cuivré = brassy (though most composers I know use "cuivré" even in English scores, as its meaning to horn players is exact and known)

bouché = stopped

naturel = open (when cancelling a stopped passage) or normal (when cancelling a cuivré passage)

I regret that I do not know the Italian terms. Perhaps someone else on the list?

Christopher
