A few days ago, I posted a couple of questions on both of these Finale lists, dealing with inserting new staves in scores and changing the instrumentation and/or transposition for individual staves.
Thank you to both lists for the replies, both public and private! As a new Finale user, one who has used Encore for the past seven years, I'm finding that there are many Finale features that I really like. But I'm also finding that many operations that were exceedingly simple (one menu and one or two clicks) in Encore now take many, many steps in Finale. I expect that the Finale processes will be second-nature to me in a few months -- at least I hope so.
