Given that you get permission I wonder whether you could make an arrangement
of the piece for other instruments and get arranger's royalties...?
No-one paid me when I performed my arrangement of it.
It was part of an assignment when I was a sixth form student. My colleagues who made arrangements of less adventurous works received gradings ranging from A to C.
I received a detention.
