Hi all,

I'm working on a file (not mine) where all the beams over 2 eigth notes are less higher than simple quarter beam.
Do you know the way to change this automaticaly ?

Thanks in advance.

Pierre.

Beam height is normally a function of normal stem length. If you increase the stem length, the beams will be higher, but then the stems will probably look too long. You can use the Beam Angle Tool in the Special Tools Tool to adjust one of the offending eighth-note beams, then use the Mass Mover (or Mass Copy) to copy just that adjustment to the others.

I have noticed, however, in Finale 2003 that in 2-note eighth groups when the notes are on B, C, or D just below the staff in treble clef, the beams are too low. I can't figure why this is the case. I've had to adjust these groups. Maybe it's a bug.

Has anyone else noticed this?
