Obviously neither solution avoids the voiding of cautionary accidentals so all past Finale work has this permanent labour involved (that is perusing each part for these particular types of errors. But it is good to know of a fool proof pass through for all present work.
I still think some sort of option to skip parenthesized notes would be useful.

One problem I am still having with Finale is losing accidentals. These are easily lost when copying from one part to another and seems to depend somewhat on whether Partial Measures is selected. I wish there were more options in copying music with regards to this accidental issue -- like for instance the ability to check accidentals with the act of copying (or not).
My lewd comic opera Tom Thumb the Great is getting it's first performance in Nov. (I finished it in '93) and I'm bringing the parts and score up to speed. Lost accidentals are my biggest worry at this point.
I've used Tobias' plug-in but I've discovered that even with it -- some accidentals are not being exposed -- further I have to be careful how I use these things because it eliminates all my carefully thought out cautionary accidentals.
The result is I am still left perusing each part for these dang things. It all seems a bit too much like gambling.
Was I really fully conscious looking over that 2 hour long flute part?
Any tips or observations will be appreciated.
You might want to try Classic Transposition (available from my web site). Set the transposition to a Chromatic Unison (there are spelling options too). Also, the Canonic Utilities plugin has a force-accidentals options.
