[Finale] nomail no work!

I went on vacation this past week and set my Finale preferences to 
nomail. When I got back just now, I found 88 Finale messages waiting 
for me: the nomail setting had not in fact stopped the mail, though 
the appropriate radio button was checked at the list's web site.

Howcome?
