Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! At least I don't think I'm in a parallel universe where my computer is playing tricks nobody else's computer is playing!

Thank you for confirming this for me. The same thing happens in WinFin2003, but I had never tried to create an executable shape in 2003, so I hadn't noticed it until I found it in 2004 (still there in 2004a).

Now if [EMAIL PROTECTED] will come forward and reply to my posts of Thursday (I don't think Friday was a holiday in the U.S.) perhaps something will happen (either they'll explain what I/we are doing wrong or they'll admit the bug and fix it darn soon.)

Thanks for trying the experiment for me, Richard.

I don't understand executable shapes, but I can confirm the behavior that
you observed and reported. After playback the slot for the shape in the
executable shape selection box is empty. Looks like a serious bug to me.

Nobody has responded to my original post concerning disappearing
executable shapes and nobody from makemusic has replied since I
posted to them on Thursday morning so I feel like I may be in a
parallel universe and am reposting this:

When trying to create a shape for playback definition in WinFin2004
(same behavior in WinFin2004a) -- specifically to define a fermata
for playback since there doesn't appear to be anyway to set the
length for fermatas in human playback, and following the OLD -- I
can create the shape, and it appears in slot 7 of the executable
shape selection screen. When I assign it to my expression fermata
and place it in the score, nothing happens upon playback, no change
at all. Going back into the expression dialogue to edit the shape,
I find that slot 7 is still there but it is EMPTY.

Could somebody please run a quick test and let me know if my machine
is playing games with me or if it is indeed a bug in WinFin2004.

I have sent three posts further defining the problem to this list
and to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and have posted on the Finale Forum
but I find many people viewed my post but nobody has replied.

Am I the only one experiencing this behavior?

Thanks.

Tobias is correct. This was purposely very small just to get the
most urgent issues addressed...

This seems to be a disappointingly small list of
fixes.

I think these were just the most urgent ones, and a bigger
maintenance release including the ability to transfer registration
from one PC to another will follow later.

Cheers,
Tobias
