I have a bit of a problem and was wondering if anyone could help. I've been
using Finale since 2001, and have gone through all the upgrades. I tried to
install 2k4 and my user code won't show up in the registration box. So I've
done everything in my power to undo the install, but there's a registry key
apparently that won't go away, it's the one that saves your registration info.
I installed on my laptop as my second install and it worked fine. The user
code is there, I got my authorization code and put it in, all is fine. So
what I suspect is something happened with my main desktop install. I had
zonealarm running, so I suspect either ZoneAlarm stopped the code from being
generated, or there was a conflict with my previous versions of Finale. SO,
now I'm stuck with an unregisterable version of Finale. I've tried all kinds
of regcleaners, I've cleaned the registry of all coda products and uninstalled
them all. I've done all these things multiple times and in various orders. I
even tried to do a windows repair installation thinking it had modded one of
the main windows files, to no avail. Short of formatting my hard drive does
anyone have any suggestions?
