Hold it! If you use the "insert systems" command, Finale keeps the optimization with the music, so there's no need to re-do optimization for the existing systems. The "insert systems" command was created for just this sort of situation.

optimized systesm 24 and 26. You now insert two new pages after page
7. Systems 24 and 26 are now completely new music, but the

just inserted.

BTW, I haven't had time to add the new pages and optimize them yet.

You might consider removing all optimizations on the pages that follow the insertion before doing the insertion, as you'll have to do that, in any case.
