In order to make this legible, I've been going into Speedy and manually moving the noteheads on the odd-numbered quavers away from each other. Is there some automatic spacing thing I'm missing?
I've used Special Tools to rectify this sort of thing. As far as I know, there's no way to make the computer reconcile it automatically.
