Ran into something for the very first time while working on a Finale score, consisting of five staves. With four of the staves, when the expression tool was selected, everything worked as one would expect; with the fifth stave, selecting the expression tool, and the fifth staff, in either order (whether already on fifth staff, and selecting expression tool, or already having selected expression tool, and selecting fifth staff) resulted in the appearance of the "edit lyrics" box with the four base-line triangles in it. This is an old score, originally prepared with MAC FIN 2.0, and opened and saved in MAC FIN 2k3. When I created a new (sixth staff), copied everything over from the fifth (using Mass mover tool for most of it, and editing in separately the slurs, &c that didnt copy correctly), the new staff did not have the same response.
Anyone else ever run into this before?
