Christopher wrote of the triangles in the lyric box:

The right-most one is stupid (meaning <I'm> stupid because I can't figure out a use for it.)

To which John Bell rejoined,

It's for lyrics you haven't yet entered.

prompting Christopher to write further

I guess I'm still stupid, because I can't figure out how I'm going to know ahead of time that I'm going to need some lyrics higher or lower. That's something I always do AFTER entering the lyrics.

Oh, well, if someone uses it, I guess it's good.

to which I would observe that the rightmost triangle is of most utility to those who, like me, make extensive use of "type into score". As I'm typing along, since I can tell that (as an example) the next syllable I enter is going to collide with the tenor F written in the alto clef, I can use the right most triangle to adjust only the next syllable. I assume though I've not tested this, that it has the same utility for someone while using "click-assignment."
