When Finale plays back, say, a fourt part score, the volume is suddenly and unrealistically loud when two or more of the parts happen to sound the same note. Is there any way to avoid this?
Dear Dennis,
The simplest way to avoid this is to set one of the notes to zero velocity using the MIDI tool. I have had just the opposite happen when two parts assigned to the same patch make a unison - the note nearly drops out. The solution is the same in both cases.
