Try Anchor paper in St. Paul, MN. They have an online store and are
downright friendly.

Okay,

Thanks to Paul Hayden for the recommendation of Weyerhauser Cougar
Natural paper. <http://tinyurl.com/ytjah> The Cougar Digital seems
nice, too -- pre-cut to convenient sizes.

Now, the question -- how the hell do I actually buy this paper? I
checked with all of the New York City area Weyerhauser distributors
listed on their website <http://tinyurl.com/2nxul>, and they all more
or less insist on you being a corporation with an existing account with
them before you can even look at their catalog, let alone order
anything. They might as well have banner ads reading "Freelancers not
welcome."

Surely there's a paper merchant somewhere in the continental U.S. that
(A) stocks this paper, (B) has a web store that anyone can access, and
(C) ships to NYC?

After all my badmouthing of Xpedx's lousy web presence, I guess I might
have to end up calling up the Albany store and inquiring about
shipping.
