I love Fin2k4's smart word extensions. It's really great for lyrics. However, I use Ansgar Krause's font for figured bass entry. Having smart word extensions turned on Finale puts word extensions to all notes without figures. So I am wondering, rather than entering invisible syllables (Alt+0160) to all notes without numbers, if one can turn off smart hyphens for individual verses?

Smart Word Extensions will be entered for all lyric entries. Evidently you can't turn off the feature for some staves. I think your best bet is to turn off Smart Word Extensions and use T.G. Tools to add extensions where you want them.
