Brian,

You keep bringing this up, even though you've been told point-blank that MIDI in Finale 97 won't work well (if at all) with the Classic environment of OS X.

Please understand -- your first step *must* be an upgrade to Finale 2005. That version contains SoftSynth sounds, which will play back through the internal speakers/sound out port of your iBook. If, after doing that, you decide Finale's SoftSynth sounds are not acceptable, you can then get an external sound module, or the Garritan Personal Orchestra, or whatever. But you will *never* get satisfactory MIDI results with Finale 97, no matter what other equipment you use.

Can anyone recommend a sound module for use with Finale 97, a Fatar SL-990 keyboard, and an Edirol midi interface?---Brian_______________________________________________
