Hi Chuck yes, the changing window names are standard Finale behaviour. How well macro apps deal with that kind of thing, and how many clues they give you about what's going wrong, well that's another. Someone else raised the point about palletes being the foremost window sometimes, you can lose a day or two figuring those kind of things out! Good macros require quite a lot of setting up and detective work. I'd like to cut down on the number of steps involved in macros, and raise their reliability, hence my other topic about a Macro Menu.
