Data which supports the essence of her statement exists and has been analysed statistically. Most measurements of biological data (including brain function) show greater variability in men than in women. In many behavioural measures, even where averages within the two sexes are closely similar, such as is the case with "intelligence", this shows up as more men than women at the extremes: more geniuses, more morons.
