The only other usage I can think of is for unpitched percussion, but percussionists are used to reading from a 5-line staff like everyone else.

They are used to this in the same sense that they are used to seeing transposing timpani parts, or unpitched percussion on a bass-clef staff: it is a largely historical usage.


With certain very narrow exceptions, a five-lined staff for less than five unpitched percussion has not been considered "best practice" for fully half a century now.
