I see what you're getting at. Yes, Sonar's interpolate function
(search/replace with a name I never understood) can do it. Duh for me.

Yup, I retire to the dock by the swimming hole when I hit a Finale
incompetence. But last year, the wind blew the entire working manuscript
into the water. Good thing, too. It was terrible. Considering it a sign, I
started over and wrote "Icecut" and had a great premiere with the Vermont
Symphony.

This is a situation where ownership would be a great thing ... and we'll
never see it in Finale. Instead of all the folderol about attachment
worries, just create the stuff and drag the ownership links into place when
they're needed. Or change ownership whenever. Or just plain *see* what owns
what. I don't make much headway with this suggestion, though.
