Hi Simon,

Now that's the way to run a company! They even have a specified "return specialist" to help with these swap outs! And I especially like the part about "working very closely with Apple...."

I've heard great things about this card. I like this company very much too. I have an Oxygen 8 that I take to the scoring stage and a Keystation Pro 88 in my studio.

Went back to Sonnet just to double check...and it looks like they have completed their testing with G5's. The Allegro USB 2.0 is compatible with the G5 (as are many of their products it looks like.) So I guess now we just have to wait for the Tiger/USB issues to be fully tested and O.K.'d Then it may be worth a test run! Maybe then I'll try it out on my quirky dual 1.8 that has never been quite right! If it works on that one, I'll work on others! :-)

Thanks for the info. (I have to remember to use tiny url too.)

Hope you are having a good day!

Best,

Karen

When moving from a G4 dual 1ghz to a G5 dual 2ghz I had to send my M-
Audio Delta 1010lt PCI card back in and pay £30 to have it upgraded for use with the G5! They actually broke it and sent me out a brand new one!!

Anyway, my G5 is PCI-X, something I didn't think about much when
upgrading - I wouldn't recommend buying _any_ card that doesn't
specifically mention G5 compatibility on the box.

Anyway, here's the announcement about the Delta 1010lt - no doubt there
must have been others:
