Thanks. I did ... the reason I wasn't hearing a difference between the two sounds, is that I had the room size set for Cathedral. When I set it to a smaller, room ... the sounds were correct. Thanks again ...

Dean -- just enter the notes that trigger the sound you want. If you want the side drum to play back, enter a G#3 (Side Drum LH) or A3 (Side Drum RH).

Ok, this is basic, compared to what you guys are discussing, but ... I have set up a basic perc. staff, defining the snare drum (#59) as the pitch for playback. Later in the score, I want the sound, on the same clef, to become Side Drum (#56). What process, exactly, makes this happen? I am entering data via my Rolland Synth, with speedy entry, playing the corresponding numbered pitches.

is there a way to search a staff for all incidents of, say, the pitch D2, and changing them all to the pitch B3 -- while leaving all other pitches (included D's and B's in other octaves) alone? I'm looking for

I actually think I have an easy solution to your dilemma, Darcy -- simply go edit the percussion map, redefining the playback pitch for the note(s) in question.

That would leave the displayed notes at the same locations on the staves, eliminating the need for two sets of percussion staves or two different files, and the only hardship would be to ensure you have the correctly-edited percussion map at the point of initiating playback.

Yes, that's PERFECT. Thanks, David.
