I have no idea how KQ is recorded, but I certainly know serious professional
recording engineers who use ProTools for HD recording. (Including using
ProTools LE on location.) That KQ might be recorded with ProTools is entirely
plausible.

I complain loudly about Digidesign the company, but their products are
first-rate and as reliable as any (if inordinately brittle).

When a recording session is costing many hundreds of dollars a minute (like an
orchestra rec. session, for example), the engineer has multiple backups. I've
seen them simultaneously multitracking with ProTools, dual tracking with a
standalone HD recorder and also sending the signal to one or more DAT players
live.

But I agree with Johannes's general point that with computers stuff happens.
This bug in Finale is regrettable, and to the extent that we can help them fix
it, I have no doubt MM will respond. But simply jumping up and down and
screaming "fix it, dammit"--while entirely understandable (I've done it,
too)--accomplishes nothing.
