Hiro,
I've seen it twice in the past week. Once when advancing a frame in
the Speedy Tool, and once when adding measures with the measure tool.
I have no doubt this bug is the same one Javier and Don experienced.
Robert PiƩchaud has seen it as well. (Is _he_ enough of a "power
user" for you to take him seriously, Noel?) The file overwrite bug is
completely different -- what happens there is that the entire content
of one file is replaced with the content of another file . If entries
are disappearing completely, that's this new Fin2006 bug -- shall we
call it the "vanishing entries" bug?

I still don't believe Darcy said anything about witnessing this
bug. He
has been mentioning something else, which is text block and auto save
related, and 100% reproducible, and now fixed with 2006.
And I am not even sure if Javier was talking about the same bug to
start
with. This is what he initially wrote:
was making a complicated score pasting many pieces from a
collection of
pre-2006 files. When I was about to finish, complete sections of
the music
started to disappear... Only my obsession of renaming files
saved me from
the disaster since I could rescue the disappeared section from a
previous
file.
Now you know, the Bug is still there, alive and waiting to ruin
your careful
work.
It sounds like he was reporting the infamous file-overwrite bug, no?
