On a parallel subject - much TV music I find OK to horrible, but I'm
curious about where CSI found that "Whooooo are you?" song that they
use as a theme - my knowledge of pop music has large gaps, - and I
recommend checking out the original theme music for "The Medium,"
which startles me with it's sophistication and beauty.
A TV theme that caught my ear recently was the theme to "Six Feet
Under." It's the only show that I actually listen to the theme all the
way through, even though I taped it the night before and could
fast-forward if I wanted to. ...

My wife and I recently added HBO and have been watching that show "On
Demand" from the first season. Wife always comments that she likes the
theme and we always listen to it all the way through, as as I am in
unreformed fast forwarder for anything else.
Neighbor name-dropping alert: Jeremy Sisto, who plays/played Billy on
the show (and has been in movies and mini-series - acheived some TV
mini-series infamy playng both Jesus and Julius Ceasar, no less, a few
years ago) is originally from my tiny Louisville suburb of Floyds
Knobs. I ran into him and his dad, who is known in Louisville as a fine
jazz vibraphonist, in a pizza place summer before last when Jeremy was
back home visiting the dad. His parents split years ago and Mom took
him to Hollywood for fame and fortune.
