Sorry for the late addition to this already solved problem, but sometimes this display inconsistency occurs because of where the bounding seems to be set for a specific character in a font. For instance, it's possible that the right edge bounding of the character, (or concievably in the FAN file, though less likely), could end before the right paren begins, and that could then be causing the problem. Since I haven't yet done the "Big Switch" from 2006, I'm not sure if they have changed anything about their default fonts for this update or not?
