I'm writing a big band arrangement where I have a ritard that leads to a tempo change. When I did this sort of thing as a student, I used to make a graphic of eyeglasses on the parts, to indicate that the musicians should look up to get the new tempo from the conductor. I'm not finding anything like that in the articulation tool, the _expression_ tool, or the Jazz Font set. Is there indeed an eyeglass symbol or something comparable in Finale (2005)?
