I have a feeling the 7000 Mac Edition (which, if I recall correctly,
has just 32 MB of RAM) might be a touch underpowered for a 24"
monitor. And is using the screen in rotated mode still more sluggish
than using the screen in standard mode? I remember when this feature
was first introduced -- it was unusably slow on my hardware.
Cheers,
- Darcy

Check out ebay for a Mac 7000 Mac Edition (the earlier ATI PCI
card), which I believe with the latest ROM update is Versavision
capable.
