Hi all: A few months ago, I asked about placement of basso continuo figures above the bass line and most suggested that wasn't the normative way to do things. So after spending much time tweaking and adjusting my figures in my Finale file, I discovered AR Editions requires figures ABOVE the bass line; and apparently the C.P.E. Bach edition has the same requirement: see here http://www.cpebach.org/cpeb/sample?src=III-5.jpg
Is this an instance where a publisher sets the rule or house style, and there really *isn't* a standard way of doing this sort of thing?
