I wrote to George, in part:
if you want to email me a copy of the file, I'll be happy to see if I
can find a solution.
Since I always check my personal email before I check mailing list
incoming messages, I saw George's message he sent to me containing the
file I saw the messages on the list. I found exactly what I later saw
that David Bailey found, and applied that fix, and returned the file to
George.
I would note, though, that Jef is not correct in his reply to George;
the work-around George devised, showing the brace on one system, and
stretching it to appear to create a group with to measures of the same
staff on separate systems, will work in page view, and might be a good
alternative for George's purposes. It did not change the distance
between staves or systems.
