Hi all, F2K7c, Windows XP.
The Midi setup on the Finale softsynth does not allow the dialog box to appear. When I click "Softsynth settings" (for any device on the list, including "none"), an error box says it cannot initialize softsynth playback, device in use. The Native Instruments stuff works, but I don't want to use that and have it unchecked. This happens even if Finale is the first program I run after reboot. Nothing in the droplist works, even the standard Microsoft synths or "none". The regular Finale playback works fine in 2K6 and previous versions, but has never worked in any version of 2K7.
