These two things are related. A staff style entered in a part will only appear in the part, and it can only be cleared from the part. A staff style entered in the score will appear in both score and part, and clearing it from the score clears it from the part as well.
So clearing all staff styles from the score should clear all staff styles from the parts -- EXCEPT for staff styles which were entered directly into a part to begin with.
