  20. O.T. Joshua Bell at L'Enfant Plaza (Michael Cook)

Sometimes when I hit a slow period in performing for my usual paying
clientele, usually in the bleak midwinter between New Year's day and
Valentine's day, the thought crosses my mind of taking a guitar or a
keyboard down to the metro to maybe try to earn a few bucks. I have never
done it, and after seeing what happened with Joshua Bell, I likely never
will.
It is a very interesting article and a sad commentary on our inability to
appreciate the beauty all around us. We are so absorbed in completing our
appointed rounds that we lose our childlike openness of spirit.
I think this is a very unusual and interesting article. Thanks for sharing
the link. I don't know why but I was unable to copy and paste the link
because it wrapped in my email client (MS Outlook). I could only reach the
washington post section up to the date 04/04/ and had to manually type the
rest of the link. I'm glad I did.
