I don't think this tape is acid-free, but it does make an excellent
hinge and hasn't fallen off on me yet -- which is why I recommended it
in the first plage.
You may be thinking of Filmoplast P90 archival tape:

This also looks good, although it doesn't appear as repositionable as
the 256 tape.
