I turned off my e-mails as of Monday night, June 25, and there was no
mention of Finale2008 at all.
I came back and started up my e-mails again on June 30th and saw the
notice that Fin2008 was ready for pre-orders, so I placed my order
immediately.
My account still doesn't even show a tracking number, and you've already
gotten yours?
At least they're eager to get the product into people's hands.
I'll be very interested to see how the "merge scores" function works,
especially in light of the linked score/parts issues. They claim that
no longer do we need to have the same instrumentation or even the same
number of staves per system to use this feature. If it works as they
claim, it might be the answer to several threads over the past year
where people asked how to merge multiple files into a single document.
Oh well, guess I just have to wait and twiddle my thumbs until they see
fit to ship my copy.
